Fellowships for Licence and Master's programs related to the CDP

The training of mathematicians at the master's level, as well as at the doctoral and postdoctoral levels, constitutes an important aspect of the activities of the CDP C2EMPI. The program offers a stimulating international environment for students and early-career researchers. Details about the application procedure for funding from the CDP C2EMPI are provided below.

Two Master's degrees are eligible for these scholarships:

Master Mathematics and applications

Master Applied Mathematics, statistics

Scholarships are awarded based on merit. They are open to students with an outstanding academic record, and priority will be given to projects aimed at pursuing a doctoral degree. A special attention will be given to gender diversity.

Amount of the scholarship

The scholarship amounts are as follows:

Students enrolled in a French university at the time of application: €4,500.

Students enrolled in a foreign university at the time of application: €8,500.

Application procedure 2026-2027

To apply for a CDP scholarship, the deadline is April 19, 2026, and the procedure is as follows:

Interested applicants must upload their application as a single file with the format Name-Firstname-C2EMPI-2026.pdf with the link :

The application should contain, in this order, the following elements :

A front page containing the following information : Name, Firstname, Gender, Birth date, Email address, Name of the university where you are registered for the academic year 2025-2026, Name of the Master you are applying for (Mathematics and applications or Applied mathematics, statistics), level (M1 or M2) and track you are applying for.

A motivation letter detailing your past experiences and explaining how the chosen Master's program fits into your career plan

A detailed CV

A copy of your university diplomas and transcripts since you entered university

Additionally, two or three letters of recommendation must be sent directly by your professors to the following address:

The application deadline is set for April 19, 2026.

Applicants will be informed of the selection committee's decision in May 2026.

Application to a Master program

IMPORTANT: Applying for a scholarship does not exempt you from applying to the corresponding Master's program. Depending on your situation, this application must be submitted via "Études en France", "Mon Master", or "eCandidat". It is therefore essential that you complete the necessary steps to apply for the Master's program. For more details about applications to Master's programs, please visit the respective websites mentioned above.

 

Upcoming call for applications.

The training of physicists at the Master's, doctoral, and postdoctoral levels is an important aspect of the activities of the CDP C2EMPI. This research program offers a stimulating international environment for students and young researchers. In particular, it offers Master's scholarships for students enrolling in the Quantum and Photonic Technologies track of the Master's in Physics at the University of Lille in M1 and/or M2 (both levels are concerned by the scholarships).

This Master's track is closely linked to the research activities of the PhLAM laboratory within the framework of the Cross-Disciplinary Project C2EMPI.

Scholarships are awarded based on academic track record. They are open to students with a very high-level academic record, and priority will be given to projects aiming for doctoral studies.

Scholarship Amount
The scholarship amount is as follows:

  • Students enrolled in a French university at the time of application: €4,500.
  • Students enrolled in a foreign university at the time of application: €8,500.

The scholarship can be renewed for the second year of the Master's program based on a renewal application. The scholarship amount for a renewal (progressing from M1 to M2) will be €4,500.

Application Procedure for 2026-2027
The deadline for applications is April 19, 2026, and the procedure is as follows. Candidates must complete a form at the following link:

At the end of the application form, they will also be asked to upload a single pdf file named Lastname-Firstname-C2EMPI-2026.pdf. This file must contain:

  • a cover letter detailing your past experiences and specifying how the chosen Master's program fits into your professional project
  • a detailed CV
  • a copy of your university degrees and your transcripts.

Additionally, one or two letters of recommendation may be sent directly by your professors to the address alberto.amo-garcia@univ-lille.fr before the application deadline (April 19, 2026).

Candidates will be informed of the selection committee's decision at the end of April 2026.
